Ballroom Dance Classes

Classes are held at the lovely and historic Katherine Legge Memorial Lodge on Monday evenings where Mark Harvey has been the resident ballroom dance professional for many years. Read more about Mark Harvey here.

Mark Harvey teaches ballroom dance in a straighforward way. He makes it easy and fun!

Dances Taught

With Mark Harvey, you'll learn ballroom dance patterns you can use at any event where social dancing is taking place. He teaches footwork, steps & dance patterns, and will cover all the basics you need to dance confidently while having fun doing it. In addition, Mark will also give you tips and suggestions you can use to give your ballroom dancing extra style and finesse. Best of all, Mark has an easygoing, patient approach to teaching that you're sure to enjoy. The time flies by!

Beginner, intermediate and advanced classes are offered through the Hinsdale Parks and Recreation Department.

Other Lessons

Is your church or other group interested in scheduling a group ballroom dancing class? A group lesson in a lively dance such as swing or salsa is always enjoyed by participants of any age. No prior dance experience is necessary. It's the perfect kickoff to a fun-filled evening!
